Shop Policy

Your pet is OUR family

SAFETY
Safety is our #1 policy, for your pet and groomer. Any time there is a safety concern, that would lead us to stop the grooming process, client will be responsible for the work involved up to the stopping point. Dogs have good days and bad days, some love the grooming process while others are not fans, the groomer will always do the best possible service under the circumstances, it is important to understand that the comfort of the pet is the goal.
Puppy Policy
Our puppy policy is to ensure your puppy has a positive lifetime experience at the groomers. We recommend an introduction process for new puppies (consult with your groomer). We will not push the new pup past what they’re comfortable with. You will be responsible for any handling fees
Matting
Severe matting is a sign of neglect and can cause the pet severe health problems as well as physical pain. For the safety of the pet and groomer we will not demat excessively matted dogs. Pet parents will be responsible for any fees that are associated with making your pet comfortable, (i.e., handling, dematting, etc.) Groomer will not be responsible for any irritation, redness, itchiness, or behavioral changes as a result of grooming a matted coat. Consult with your groomer on how to maintain a long healthy coat.
Grooming Incidents
Nicks, razor burn, irritations or reactions to products are all reasonable incidents that happen during or after the grooming process. We do our best to document and inform the pet parent of any incidents or accidents. We ask that you inform us immediately if you notice anything, we will do what we can to help make the pet as comfortable as possible.
Medical/Behavioral History
It is the pet parents’ responsibility to inform us of any medical issues or preexisting conditions, so we can take precautions as necessary. We make notes and monitor any abnormalities we observe during the grooming process so that you can help your pet be the healthiest. We will not be responsible for aggravating any preexisting conditions.
It is the pet parents’ responsibility to inform us of any behavioral problems or aggressive history the pet may have (whether offensive or defensive), any history of biting or needing to be muzzled. It is further the pet parents’ responsibility to update us of any changes in the animals medical or behavioral
Appointment times/ No Show/ Cancelations
We do our best to stay on track, because of this encourage everyone to show up to their appointment at least five minutes early. Anyone who is late could be subject to rescheduling their appointment. If the pet parent does not call to cancel or show up for their appointment, they will be subject to put a credit card on file and leave a 50% deposit to set up a future appointment. Please potty your pets before grooming appointment.
Picking Up Your Pet
When your pets are done with their groom, they are tired, ready to potty, and go home. Keeping the grooming process a pleasant experience, we ask you pick up your pet within 30 mins of the groom being completed. The pet parent may request additional time from our staff if time and space permits. The pet parent will be responsible for any re-bathing that may be necessary due to the pet soiling themselves waiting past the 30 minutes. Daycare charges apply if no notice is given that additional time is needed or if the pet is not picked up by the last pick-up time.
Grooming Expectations
Final grooming results may vary based on the pets’ coat condition, behavior, and interpretation of instructions. The groomer will make every reasonable effort to achieve the desired grooming results. Haircuts are to be inspected when you pick up your pet. We are not responsible for anyone that is not the pet’s parent dropping off, giving instructions, or picking up and inspecting the groom.
No Refunds On Services Performed
There will be NO refunds on any services. If a groom cannot be completed for safety reasons, the pet parent is responsible for what was completed. Anything deemed unsatisfactory, we can make adjustments same day or make notes for future appointments.
Fleas and Ticks
If fleas or ticks are discovered during the grooming process, we will immediately isolate the effected pet to prevent the potential spread to other pets. In this case, our groomers will use a pyrethrin based flea and tick dip solution, this solution will treat the adult infestation on the animal. It has a very mild residual, and will not treat eggs or larva, we encourage pet parent to treat their homes and wash their bedding to help end infestation. Please note there will be additional charges on top of the base grooming fee.
Double Coated Dogs
Shaving or cutting into a double coat can damage the hair & cause it to grow differently. Shaving can cause “shave shock” where the hair grows back patchy, different lengths, or even baldness in certain spots. In some cases, it may take 2 years or longer for the coat to fully grow back. Cutting the undercoat could also change the appearance, color and texture. Shaving also does NOT prevent shedding, Dog will be more susceptible to sun burns and skin cancer, dog will also still need to be washed and brushed regularly.
Pet Health/ Vaccines
The pet owner certifies that their pet is in good health and has been free from contagious diseases for at least 14 days prior to the appointment, the pet owner should ensure that their pets’ vaccinations are up to date.
Vaccinating is for the safety of your pet. Your pet is isolated while in the shop and the kennels are cleaned after each pet. We are not responsible for any illness your pet may contract. We ask that everyone’s pet to be current with their rabies vaccine. If the pet bites and breaks skin, documents will have to be shown.
